With four days off this Jubilee weekend I had to get out and fish, I am now pre-occupied with catching a London canal carp. The trick is stay mobile, travel light and keeping looking.
This weekend I was out twice, on one occasion I didn’t wet a line and on the other occasion I did after spotting three ‘doubles’. So far the results are in the favour of carpus maximus! But this is a cathartic practice, the process is to be embraced, the results will come soon…I’m sure of it! I am starting to sense the carp and their where abouts.
I know what you mean..I think Nick….I might pop out tomorrow thursday, local maybe Hertford/Lea area in Hackney…you around? Any tips?

I’m very busy at present, I’m going to try a few evenings as and when, will txt you before. Keep moving, try bread, mixers on top a few boillies on the bottom or corn.
My theory on corn is they can get a bit spooked by its bright presence, I’ve witnessed this. They are about though…good luck

Ha – yielding to in sensations, auguries and cosmic vibes, you are clearly channelling your inner-Yates. Success is assured.
You may need a bigger net!
You could dye the corn to make it less bright – I use red food colouring.
